A new instrumental guitar rock song called "Time Shift" is up in
the music section. I recorded this over the
last two weekends. Please, go check it out!

Last weekend I quickly recorded an acoustic guitar and vocals-only cover version of the song
"Don't Bother None", originally composed by the acclaimed Yoko Kanno for the Japanese anime
series Cowboy Bebop (which I think is awesome, by the way).
Go check it out in the music section.

There are some new songs up that I've recently recorded in the music section.
08.05.2005
I uploaded a remastered version of my Christmas Medley 2004. The new mix has a bit
better transparency and I fixed some other things that annoyed me. I also remastered
"Just Some Song", an old song of mine from the year 2001. I was never really happy
with the mix, so I redid it. Finally, I also remastered "Farewell to Arms", a song
from 2002. The mix was too highly compressed and too overloaded. The new mix is
much more transparent and more in line with the way I tend to mix nowadays. This is
the last of a series of remastered versions of some of my old songs. I hope
to have some new material ready soon. In the meantime, check out the new
files in the music section.

My Christmas Medley for 2004 is online. Get it in the music section.
Merry Christmas everyone!
23.11.2004
Just like a couple of weeks ago I did some more tweaking of
some of the mixes of my older songs. Also the new MP3 files are encoded with 192 kbps
instead of 128 kbps. This time around I've made some improvements to the songs
"Tightness", "Too Short Moments", and "Engl Boogie".
I've also uploaded some recordings I did with some of the bands I play/played in.
You can get the MP3 files in the music section.

Since today is my name day I thought it would be a good occasion to release
two new songs I recorded. One is a cover of the well-known "Happy Birthday" song
and the other is a rather heavy, but short instrumental metal song called "Desert Wars".
Grab the goods in MP3 form from the music section.
29.09.2004
Just because I felt like it I have replaced the songs "Prelude", "Christmas Medley 1999", and
"Come As You Are" with newly mixed versions. You can grab them in the music section.
I'll probably be doing some new mixes for a couple of my older songs as well if I find the
time. Also, some new material is on the way, but I can't exactly say when.
05.09.2004
Here's a little treat for all you guitar players out there. I've been asked a few times
if I have a guitar tablature for my song "Simpsons on Acid", and well, now I do :) It's
in PowerTab format and you can download it from the music section
from where you can also download the corresponding MP3.

My new Christmas medley for 2003 is online. Grab it from the music section.

MP3.com has shut down its services and Efftrade where I hosted my Adelaide Travel Diary and later
on also most of my MP3 songs has filed for bankrupcy. Thanks to a good friend of mine I've
found new web space for my MP3 songs. Please don't hammer the server and only download
one MP3 at a time.
29.04.2003
Hello folks. Today I passed the final diploma exam for my studies and I can now officially carry the title
of "Diplomingenieur" (similar to Master of Science in other countries). So now I'm
officially unemployed ;-)
I also released four (yes, that's right, 4) new songs of mine in the music section of this site. Go and have a listen please.
14.02.2003
Yahoo, everyone. Since the folks at MP3.com are being buttholes and now only allow a maximum
of three songs per artist, I had to move all my MP3s to another server for the
time being. I don't know how long I'll be able to keep them there, but let's
hope for the best.
Also, I've finally put up the two new releases of mine. The first being
Christmas Medley 2002, a nice instrumental guitar medley of two Christmas
songs. The second song is called Engl Boogie and is an instrumental rock
song. Go and check them out in the music section. Cheers.
23.10.2002
A bit late, but my XEngine project page is finally up at
http://xengine.sourceforge.net. XEngine is the platform- and API-independent 3D engine
that I'm currently working for my diploma thesis. The thesis will hopefully be done sometime
in the beginning of 2003, but I hope I can continue working on XEngine from time to time
after that.
28.08.2002
As always, I wasn't quite happy with the first mix of "Farewell to Arms" (well,
I was happy, but some things needed some more tweaking), and so I released
a new version today. It'll probably take a couple of days for it to show
up on MP3.com, but there's not that much difference to the previous version,
except for the a bit more balanced mix.
In other news, my Adelaide Web Diary had to move from tripod.com because
they've got this new 20 MB limit for each account, but my diary uses
50 MB (which was the old limit), and so now they want to delete it.
Thankfully, the people at Efftrade
were so nice to offer me some webspace for my diary, so now it can
be found here: http://adelaidediary.efftrade.at.
15.08.2002
I've released another song just a couple of days ago and now it's finally up on
MP3.com. It's called "Farewell to Arms" and features me on vocals for the first
time (don't laugh ;-) Go and grab it from the music
section.
Also, the demos of my party-band "Souled Out" are up on the web page as MP3s here:
www.souled-out.info.
08.06.2002
I released a new song of mine called "Exotic". Go and grab it from the music
section. I also did a remix of the song "Just Some Song", as the original mix had
too much bass in it.
In other news I now play in two bands. Well, actually, my primary band, "Die Alraunen",
split itself into two with the same people in both bands. The new band is called "Souled Out",
and it is a party band project with which we hope to earn a bit of money in the near future.
We already spent a lot of money, time and effort on making music, so it's time to get
something in return. Of course, Die Alraunen will still continue to exist, but we'll
concentrate on making our own music rather than covering stuff. Thomas, our bass player,
is still working on the Souled Out homepage as I write this, but go and have a look
at the cool design that he came up with so far here:

04.04.2002
Well, folks. I'm back from Australia and I thought I'd update my homepage. No big news.
I'm busy working on my diploma thesis (Long title: "Design and Implementation of a
Platform- and API-Independent, Scene-Graph-Based 3D Engine with Support for Programmable
Pipeline Architectures") and that's about all I do nowadays. Also the band "Die Alraunen"
is going well. We're having our first gig after the long break while I was in Oz
in a month. As a final note, since MP3.com didn't like my Christmas Medley 1999 song
I had to move it on this server.
Click here for reading the old news (as if you'd really be interested in them ;-).
