  In 1957 Hitchcock becamse involved with another television series, entitled Suspicion, as an executive producer. The series did not feature the usual Hitchcockian light-hearted introduction his fans had come to enjoy from his series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. The series was however tied thematically to his works, as it primarily dealt with suspense.

The show ran for one season on NBC and featured 40 black and white one hour episodes, from September 1957 to July 1958. Hitchcock directed the initial episode entitled Four O'Clock, that aired on Sept. 30, 1957.
