Beautiful Mary Yellen (played by Maureen O'Hara in her first movie role) stumbles upon the respectable Sir Humphrey's sinister secret- that he's the head of a band of ship-wreckers who lure ships onto the rocks in order to plunder them. He ties her up, gags her and escorts her away into the night in order to 'take care of her'.
