BVE
05.19.2005 I heartily recommend to have a look at the website of Yuuta Kaiwa where he offers an impressive addon for BVE. Try it it adds a completely new BVE-feeling!
Mühlkreisbahn:
05.19.2005 I'm sorry but I don't have the files for the rebuilt version 2 of the Mühlkreisbahn. I therefore cannot help in getting these files!
02.05.2003
An improved version of the Mühlkreisbahn is available for download from
http://BVE-Train.de .
03.07.2002 The files for the DMUs are available for download again from another server. Thanks to Christian Ambrosch.
02.06.2002 Because of space-problems all files for BVE are only available with e-mail request to me.
05.31.2001 Improved version of the panel for 5047. (Better readability of Instruments and descriptions. Dl < 300 kB)
05.21.2001 If you want to get information about updates and news join the mailing-list below.
05.19.2001 Diesel-Motor-Unit 5047 an absolute must for the modern traffic on the Mühlkreisbahn is ready for download.
05.16.2001 Version 2.0 (4 smaller files from my 'yahoo briefcase' in the folder 'work') for BVE 2 of the Mühlkreisbahn is ready for download. The line to Rottenegg is kind of a final version some emprovements and fill-ins are possible if the release date of MSTS is further delayed. (If that should be in July or later some updates for BVE are sure to come.) After passing Rottenegg the line is still without much landscape but all railway-relevant details are there (gradients, bends, speed-limits, stations etc). Now you can drive from Linz-Urfahr to Aigen-Schlägl (57,5 km) and that's quite a challenge for the 5081 diesel-coach with steep climbs and many limits and bends.
This is no update but the full data (8.6 MB) but I think well worth the download.
Alternative downloadsite 1 (one big file)
Alternative downloadsite 2 (one big file)
(If none of these downloadsites works please send a message.)
Please be patient when BVE loads the grafic there are so many details so the engine has much to load and render.
For use with Version 2.0 the diesel-motor-coach 5081 in an improved version for BVE 2.
04.12.2001 Fotorealistic panel for the ÖBB 5081 DMU ready for download.
04.10.2001 The diesel-motor-coach 5081 (similar to the German VT 98.1) was a prominent vehicle on the Mühlkreisbahn for more than 20 years, often as a single coach because of the steep gradients in the part of the line after Rottenegg. Although it was very noisy in the passenger-compartment I liked it very much as a boy because one could sit in the front and imagine to be the driver. I tried to imitate the diesel-sound and think I've been quite successful; not so with the "panel". I could not find a picture of the drivers instruments etc. so the panel is part fantasy part similar to other motor-coaches (old Hungarian ones).
Update to Version V1.03 is ready for download now. Important!!! You need Version1.02 and Version 1.011, too!
Screenshot of V1.03: next to the rails is the old road to Rohrbach, to the right the new Bundesstrasse uses the tunnel under the ridge and crosses the railway on a big bridge on the other side. To the left you can see the Danube obscured with bushes and trees.

As a training for upcoming MSTS I'm trying to recreate the railway-line near my home. Line and signalling are ready up to Rottenegg. Most trains in reality end here. Scenery will be added in the next weeks and months until MSTS or Trainz is ready for start. You will know what's new with the version number on complete downloads or updates.
The line is not finished by far you may download what's ready. (Use it and have fun; there is no warranty and I'm not responsible for anything that happens with your computer or software. The zip-file is virus-free but please recheck!)
