R 3116. Local train 3116 departs from Linz-Urfahr 8.45 and ends in Rottenegg 9.05. Other trains en route: Shunting in Urfahr, local train 3183, local train 3119, a train with pebbles from Ottensheim, shunting in Rottenegg.

DMU-nostalgia: (packed with Route-Riter ) It is an activity for the owners of my sets. You drive DMU VT 43 with the timetable from 1942 from Linz-Urfahr to Aigen-Schlaegl. (The DMUs have never been in history on the MKRB in operations of a similar kind. You need for this activity:

Freighttrain without brakes: (packed with Route-Riter )

Season: Winter. You must drive a freight-train with three 1504G from the OENWB and one G 25 from the StEG with steamer type 99 from Rottenegg to Neufelden. The train is to heavy for the 99 and has to be parted in Rottenegg, just like it happened quite often in the years with sufficient freight for the MKRB. To have enough braking-power for the steep gradient from Neuhaus-Niederwaldkirchen there are 2 brakevans from the kkStb in NhNwk. You should use only one, because the second is needed for the next train to Rottenegg.

Commuter train with the new DMU Desiro

From January, 2005 a new and very modern DMU is intended to carry the mainload of passenger-traffic on the Muehlkreisbahn.

This is simple the noon commuter train from Urfahr to Rottenegg.

This activity takes you the whole way from the city of Linz-Urfahr to the lovely town Aigen-Schlägl.

The files Desiro_OEBB_Rh5022.zip + the Cabview for the Desiro MZ642-CABVIEW.zip to download from 'www.the-train.de'.

As I don't like the way the dynamic-brake is used with the original files you can download corrected *.eng files here. Extract them and copy them into the Desiro_OEBB_Rh5022 folder overwriting the original ones.
