Analyze
Create Mosaics Find/Add
borders

(Remember: if you want to work with all your Photos,
Comments, Favorites etc. you first have to retrieve all data from
Flickr. See the note in Quick Start.)
Analyze

| - Find the people that commented most on my
Photos |
| |
- Go to the "People" Page
- In the list click twice in the column header
for "Comments"
- The list gets sorted by the number of comments
descending
- Find the top commenter in the first row of the
list |

| - Find the people who added Tags to my Photos |
| |
- Go to the "People" Page
- Below the "Filter..." button check the toggle
for "Added Tags"
- Make sure all other toggles are unchecked
- Click the "Filter..." button
- The list now only shows the users that have
added Tags to your photos
- If there are no such users, the list is empty |

| - Find all Friends who made Comments on my Photos |
| |
- Go to the "People" Page
- Below the "Filter..." button check the toggles
for "Friend" and "Made Comments"
- Make sure all other toggles are unchecked
- Make sure the "AND" is clicked, which means
that both criteria must match
- Click the "Filter..." button
- The list now only shows the users who are
Friends and who made comments
- If there are no such users, the list is empty |

| - Find all Notes a specific person has added to
my Photos |
| |
- Go to the "People" Page
- Browse for the person and select the row
- Below the list the buttons become active
- Click the "Notes..." button
- flickrAide switches to the "Notes" page and
shows all Notes found for the specific person
- If there are no such Notes, the list is empty |

Create Mosaics
| |
| - Create Mosaics for all my Favorites and upload
automatically to Flickr |
| |
- Go to the "Favorites" Page
- Click into the top left corner of the list,
this selects all rows
- Click the "Add to Clipboard..." butten below the list
- This will add all selected rows to the Image
Clipboard and flickrAide switches to the
Clipboard page
- There click on the "Mosaics..." button
- flickrAide switches to the "Mosaics" page
where you define the looklike of your new
mosaics
- You can now define various aspects how your
mosaics will be drawn, simply play with
different options
- Press the "Preview" button to get a preview of
the first mosaic
- If you're not satisfied, change the settings
and try again
- Check the toggle "Upload" so all your mosaics
will be uploaded to Flickr automatically
- To add the mosaics to a new Set, check the
toggle "Add to set" and enter the name of the
new Set, for example "Test"
- Now start the creation, you are prompted to
give a folder on your PC where the mosaics will
be saved
- When done, go to Flickr and check your
uploaded pictures and your new Set |

- Upload Mosaics with Notes that have individual free
texts |

- Get the photos you want to create a mosaic
of
- Add them to the Image Clipboard
- There you can add a "Free text" for each photo
- Enter in the rightmost column in the list or
in the text field below the list
- Special strings in the text will be replaced
with actual values in the final Notes:
<URL> will be replaced with a link to the photo
page
<NAME> will be replaced with the name of the photo
- Click "Mosaics..." and follow the instructions
as given above
- Don't forget to check the toggle "Add Free
Text inside Notes" |

Find/Add borders

| - Find all of your Photos with a specific border
(ie. full white border) |
| |
- First let flickrAide retrieve your photos
from Flickr (see the 'Read/Save Data' page) or
load previously saved data
- Select all or some Photos from the "Photos"
page (select all by a click into the top left
corner of the list)
- Click "Add to Clipboard" to load the selected
Photos into the Image Clipboard
- Click on "Border" to switch to the Border page
- Define the kind of border you are looking for:
check "Border 1" with a minimum size of 1 and a maximum size
of 50 pixel. The color is White
- Click "Remove Photos without border from the
Image Clipboard"
- Click "Find borders" and let flickrAide run.
This can take some time because it involves a
download of the original Photos from Flickr
- Once finished you are prompted with a result
message
- When you return to the Clipboard page there
should be only Photos that have a white border
now

| - Add a border to some of my Photos |
| |
- You can select the Photos or perform a
"Find border" Action, see above
- In the Clipboard page you should have all
Photos you want to add a border to:
+ only these Photos are manipulated
+ only your Photos can be manipulated
- Go to the Border page and switch to "Add
borders"
- Define the kind of borders you wish to add:
check "Border 1", select a black color and define the
size as 1 pixel
- Define two directories where the Photos are
stored: the original and the modified
- You can now press "Preview" to get an idea of
the results. Only 1 picture gets manipulated and
displayed
- If all ok, click "Replace Photos in your
Photostream". You can skip this for testing,
though.
- Click "Add border" and let flickrAide run.
- This can take some time because it involves a
download of the original Photos from Flickr
- Your Photos will be replaced but none of your
Comments, Favorites or Views will be lost

Download

| - Download all my Photos from my Photostream in
their original size |

- Go to the "Photos" Page
- Click on "Show All" to surely display all
available Photos
- Click into the top left corner of the list,
this selects all rows
- Click the "Add to Clipboard..." butten below the list
- This will add all selected rows to the Image
Clipboard and flickrAide switches to the
Clipboard page
- Click the "Download..." button below the list
- flickrAide switches to the "Download" page
where you define how the Photos will be saved
- Choose the size by clicking "Original"
- Choose the format by clicking "JPG"
- No start the download, you are prompted to
give a folder on your PC where the Photos will
be saved
- Depending on the amount of Photos this can
take a long time! |
